Tennessee Whiskey Experience
Join distillers from across Tennessee on Thursday September 28, 2017 for the Tennessee Whiskey Experience, (TWE) the official Sugarlands MountainFest kick-off party! Distillers from the Tennessee Distillers Guild will offer samples of their craft whiskey & spirited cocktails while you join the whiskey conversation. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and the festival’s first live music performances.
Note: This event has limited capacity. It is included in the VIP Weekend Festival Pass. It can be added to a GA Weekend Festival Pass or purchased as a single event.
This event will be held in the Tennessee Ballroom at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.
(All registered competitors will receive one weekend festival pass!)
Catch your stride on the road and on the trail! Go uphill, downhill or just join in on the fun run. Choose one run, or run them all, achieving a half-marathon distance over three days.
Running Events: Dynamite Downhill Dash, Outlandish Ober Uphill 5k, Silver Cloud Trail Run, Gatlinburg Parkway 5k, PB&J Kids Mile.
“Tour de Smokies” DreamRide is a charity bike ride and the first organized ride in Sevier County. You will ride through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park “Spur” starting and finishing in Gatlinburg at Sugarlands MountainFest. All distances will include at least 1 categorized climb. The first section through the Spur is flat and fast continuing to climbing sections of backroads in Sevier County with unforgettable vistas of the Smoky Mountains. This is held in the same area where several pro, continental teams come to do their training. Come ride with fellow cyclists to benefit an incredible non-profit organization, DreamBikes.
62 mile – a metric century, longer route with incredible views
25 mile – a shorter route for beginners or easy riders with much less climbing.

The Trout Unlimited (Great Smoky Mountain Chapter) One-Fly Tournament in Gatlinburg invites seasoned anglers to compete in this one-fly trout competition in the majestic rivers and streams of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The tournament takes place Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 9am.
Over $3,000 cash and prize awards.
