Sugarlands MountainFest, a music and outdoor festival, (September 28 – October 1, 2017) is a spirited celebration of the great outdoors. For four days this fall, outdoor enthusiasts will gather to enjoy live musical performances, competitive races, outdoor competitions, craft cocktails, award-winning spirits and brews—all in breathtaking mountains of East Tennessee.
Festival goers will experience the world class attractions and shopping of downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee all the while enjoying the natural splendor of the Great Smoky Mountains. The festival will be held at 756 Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.
If traveling by air, the closest airport to Sugarlands MountainFest is the McGhee Tyson airport in Knoxville, Tenn.
If traveling from Atlanta, the fastest route is via US-23 N and US-441 N. If traveling from Nashville, the quickest trip would be taking I-40 E to exit 407. If you’re visiting us from Louisville take I-64 E to I-40 E via I-75 S. And finally if you’re traveling from Asheville take I-40 E to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville exit, 407.
Once you’ve made it to downtown Gatlinburg you can park your car and hit the streets on foot. The closest parking sites to the Festival are:

Mountain Manor Parking – 142 Historic Nature Trail
Shade Tree Parking Lot – 120 Historic Nature Trail
Sugarlands Distilling Company is located at 805 Parkway, adjacent to the Festival Site and directly beside Midtown Parking.
Sugarlands Mountain Festival
The Gatlinburg Trolley is a great way to get around! From the festival site to The Park Vista Hotel for the Whiskey Expereince and everywhere in between. Follow the Trolly in real time to see when they’ll be by to pick you up here.
Will I receive my purchased tickets/wristbands in the mail?
All pre-sale tickets will be available through Eventbrite email confirmation and will be available at will call at the main box office on site. You will need to present your ID and confirmation number to receive tickets.
Could MountainFest be cancelled due to rain/weather?
Mtn. Fest will take place, rain or shine. However, in the event of severe weather or lightning, MountainFest will be evacuated temporarily, for the safety of all guests.
Is re-entry allowed?
Yes, re-entry is allowed with valid wristband.
Can I bring a backpack and chair?
Small backpacks, purses and empty hydration bladder packs are allowed. Each backpack is subject to search. Blankets, sheets and towels are allowed along with camping chairs (no umbrellas or chair shades that will block someone’s view). But if you plan on bringing a chair, please note:
• You may leave your chair at a stage, but if you leave it, others are welcome to sit in it.
• If you sit in someone’s chair, please quickly get up when the owner returns.
• Please be respectful of others when choosing your camping chair location.
• Camping chairs must be removed each night.
Prohibited items will be removed at the discretion of security staff.
Can I bring food inside the festival?
Outside food will not be allowed inside the festival grounds. Food and drink vendors are available for purchase inside the festival.

- No unauthorized vendors will be permitted
- No solicitations, handbills, sampling, give-aways, etc.
- Remote-controlled vehicles or aircrafts, including drones.
Where is lost and found located?
Lost and found is located at the Information Station.
Do kids get in free?
All kids 12 and under have free access to the festival if accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, no pets allowed on site (certified service animals are allowed with proper identification)
Will I need cash? Are their ATMS?
The box office and most vendors will be able to accept credit cards and cash. There are numerous ATM’s located up and down the Parkway
I can’t come to MountainFest after all, may I receive a refund?
No, sorry there is a “no refund” policy.
Where should we park?
There is ample parking throughout downtown Gatlinburg. Our best suggestion for parking would be the lot behind Sugarlands Distillery with entrances at 805 Parkway. See map.
Do you have a site map available?
The MountainFest map will be available online before the festival begins.
How far is the festival from the national park?
The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is an easy five- minute drive from the festival grounds.
Where can we hike?
The Great Smoky Mountains have numerous hikes ranging from easy to difficult.
Where can we eat?
There will be food vendors and food trucks and on-site during the festival, as well as numerous restaurants throughout downtown Gatlinburg.
Where should I stay?
Throughout Gatlinburg, there are numerous hotels, motels, cabins and RV parks. For a list of partner hotels, please see the hotel link on our website.
Where can I camp during MountainFest?
There are several camp grounds situated within five miles of Gatlinburg. These include Camping in the Smokies, Camp LeConte, Greenbrier, Camp River’s Landing, as well as Foothills RV Park and Cabins and Twin Creek RV Resort.
Can I enter all events with one pass?
A festival weekend pass entitles you to access the festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Single day passes allow entry for that day only. Additional events such as the Tennessee Whiskey Tasting on Thursday night requires an additional ticket. All competitive events are free for spectators.

How Can I Meet the Moonshiners?
The Sugarlands Legends will be available to meet and greet fans at Sugarlands Distilling Co. on Saturday, September 30, from 11am – 3pm. To meet the Legends you must have a festival pass. To help our lines move smoothly, you’ll need your festival wristband on and ready. To get that, check in at the festival entrance across the street from the distillery before heading over to the Meet & Greet. Festival box office opens at 8:00 am Saturday morning. *Celebrity appearances are subject to change.

Safety and Medical Information:
There will be EMS on-site for any medical issue. Please check at the info booth for more information. There is also the First Family Medical Practice (walk in clinic) within walking distance of the festival grounds.
Is MountainFest wheel chair accessible?
Yes, the festival meets all ADA requirements.
